Dr Erin Harrison, DVM

Dr. Erin Harrison is a native of Windsor, Ontario. After achieving an honours BSc in Biological Sciences (with Great Distinction) at the University of Windsor in 2004, she completed her DVM (with Distinction) at the Ontario Veterinary College in 2008. Dr. Harrison is a proud recipient of the Katherine Long Memorial Scholarship, a peer elected award for an individual that consistently strives to apply the highest standards of care while showing concern for the animal’s comfort and welfare. After graduation, Dr. Harrison became the 2008-2009 Avian/Exotic Animal Intern at the OVC. Subsequent to completion of her internship, she joined the Avian/Exotic Animal Service as a clinician. Dr. Harrison has a particular interest in intensive care, pain management, and behaviour as they apply to avian/exotic species.

CPC 2010 Workshop B Problem Solving Details

This workshop will focus on problem solving various cases from the onset of symptoms to diagnosis and treatment of the patient. It will assist the pet owner in determining what behaviours to look for when a bird becomes ill and aid veterinary technicians/veterinarians in better understanding behavioural cues of patients in a clinic setting. Emergency cases will be included in this 2 hour workshop.
